Abstract

Remaja merupakan kelompok usia yang rentan terhadap berbagai permasalahan kesehatan seperti perilaku seksual berisiko, penyalahgunaan zat, dan rendahnya kesadaran akan kesehatan reproduksi. Di wilayah Papua, khususnya Kampung Koya Tengah, akses terhadap informasi dan layanan kesehatan remaja masih terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan POS Remaja sebagai sarana edukasi kesehatan yang berbasis komunitas dan sekolah, guna meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja terhadap isu-isu kesehatan, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan penyakit tropis. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan edukatif yang melibatkan Puskesmas Koya Barat, SMPN 8 Koya Barat, dan aparat kampung, serta diakhiri dengan launching POS Remaja sebagai bentuk komitmen lintas sektor. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif melalui pre-test dan post-test serta observasi keaktifan peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan sebesar 21,26 poin setelah pelatihan. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi kesehatan remaja serta memperkuat kolaborasi antara institusi pendidikan dan layanan kesehatan. POS Remaja dapat dijadikan model layanan promotif-preventif berbasis komunitas untuk menjawab tantangan kesehatan remaja di wilayah dengan keterbatasan akses.

Adolescents are a vulnerable age group facing various health issues, including risky sexual behavior, substance abuse, and low awareness of reproductive health. In Papua, particularly in Kampung Koya Tengah, access to accurate health information and adolescent-friendly health services remains limited. This community service program aimed to develop a Youth Health Post (POS Remaja) as a community- and school-based health education platform to enhance adolescent knowledge on health issues, particularly those related to tropical diseases. The activities included structured health education sessions involving the Koya Barat Health Center, SMPN 8 Koya Barat, and local village authorities, and concluded with a formal launching of the POS Remaja to establish cross-sectoral commitment. Evaluation was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative approaches through pre- and post-tests and participant observation. Results showed a significant improvement in knowledge, with an average increase of 21.26 points following the educational intervention. This program effectively improved adolescent health literacy and strengthened collaboration between educational institutions and healthcare services. The POS Remaja model may serve as a promotive-preventive strategy for addressing adolescent health challenges in areas with limited access to healthcare.
