Clinical nursing practice is a fundamental component of nursing education that enables students to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills in real healthcare settings. The quality of clinical instructor leadership and head nurse supervision is assumed to influence students' perceptions and satisfaction during clinical practice. This study aimed to examine the relationship between student perceptions of clinical leadership and head nurse supervision with satisfaction in nursing clinical practice at Banggai District Hospital. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was employed. A total of 98 Diploma III Nursing students were selected using total sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test and logistic regression to determine the strength of associations between variables. Most respondents had good perceptions of clinical leadership (78.6%) and head nurse supervision (60.2%), and 67.3% reported satisfaction with clinical nursing practice. Clinical leadership was significantly associated with satisfaction (p = 0.04), while head nurse supervision showed no significant relationship (p = 0.23). Logistic regression indicated that clinical leadership perception was the most influential factor associated with student satisfaction (AOR = 2.86; 95% CI: 1.00–8.15; p = 0.049). Strengthening the quality of clinical instructor leadership is essential to create an optimal clinical learning environment.
